Health benefits

Mozzarella cheese is a source of vitamin B7. This sort of vitamin is useful in women who are pregnant, in keeping your nails from becoming brittle, and it may also lower blood glucose levels in diabetic people.

Due to high amounts of calcium present in the cheese, it is required for optimum levels of bone and teeth health. One ounce of mozzarella cheese is enough to protect the tooth enamel and maintain bone structure.

Trivia

Mozzarella cheese has known to date back to 6000 B.C. and has even been recorded to be in use in Mesopotamia, though the sources may differ. Some sources say that this cheese was an accidental production when lumps of cheese curds fell into a pot of hot water in a cheese factory near the city of Naples. This was before the creation of pizza.

Though there are around more than 2000 varieties of cheese around the world, mozzarella is considered to be the globe’s favorite.
