Pedas are a long enjoyed Indian sweet, popular in many different regions. They’re eaten at festivals and used in religious services. Pedas are, usually prepared in thick, semi-soft pieces and made from khoa, sugar, and other traditional flavorings. Their color ranges from a creamy white to a nice caramel depending on how you prepare and cook them. Make them for your kids to take to school in the snacks box and share with friends.

Health Benefits

Dharwad pedha is a dessert snack, so naturally it’s health benefits are not as numerous as some other foods, like chickpeas or baked chicken. But almost nothing in this world is entirely without nutritional value, except for cotton candy. The spices that are utilized in pedhas, like saffron, provide all kinds of health benefits. Saffron can boost the body’s immune system, increase blood circulation, protect cardiovascular health, and control diabetes. You can change the spice blend you use in your pedhas to alter the health benefits they provide.
