Ingredients
peanut oil: 2 tbsp
margarine: 1 tbsp
big onion- chopped: 1
ginger- minced: 1 tbsp
garlic—minced: 2 tbsp
chinnamon: 1 tsp
black pepper: 1 tsp
coriander: 2 tbsp
cumin: 2 tbsp
turmeric: 1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper: 1 tsp
tomatoes: 2
Serrano chile peppers- seeded: 2
cilantro: 1/2 cup
yogurt: 1/2 cup
water: 3 cups
How To Make Curry Sauce
- Heat oil and margarine in a wok on a low heat setting.
- Add the onion and stir for about 10 minutes until it browns.
- Stir in garlic and ginger and fry for about 2 minutes; this completes the onion mixture.
Note: Process the ginger and garlic to achieve a smooth texture.
- Put the onion mixture into a saucepan.
- Add cinnamon, coriander, cumin, black pepper, turmeric, and the cayenne pepper.
- Allow it to cook well until it thickens.
- Add tomato, chilli peppers, and the cilantro and cook well till it achieves a smooth texture.
- Add yogurt a little at a time.
- Blend the entire mixture together.
Note:Use a puree or food processor for best results.it.
- Add blended mixture and water to a saucepan and set to boil.
- Serve at once.
