Curried Mango Chicken

Well, the mango can really uplift the taste of the chicken and bring in its own flavors to the curry. Let this special fruit of the summer season give a new twist to your regular chicken curry. It is very easy to prepare this dish. You’ll just need to get your hands on some fresh mangoes to blend well with the aromatic spices in this delectable curry!

Ingredients

500 g of boneless chicken

400 g onions - finely chopped

2 cups mangoes - peeled and finely chopped

100 g coconut paste

100 g poppy seeds paste

3 tbsp refined oil

1 tsp ginger and garlic paste

1 tsp turmeric powder

salt as per your taste

red chili powder as per your taste

one bunch of coriander leaves

How To Make Curried Mango Chicken

  • Combine the ginger and garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, and boneless chicken and let it marinate for half an hour.
  • Place a thick bottomed wok on the flame and pour in oil. Fry the finely chopped onions till light brown color on a medium flame. Lower the flame and add the marinated chicken and cook it for five minutes.
  • Add the poppy seeds paste, coconut paste and red chilly powder and blend it well with the chicken. Close the lid and cook till the chicken becomes tender on a low flame.
  • Add the finely chopped mangoes, stir well and cook for eight to ten minutes on a low flame. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
