Creamy Limoncello

Creamy Limoncello

The creamy limoncello is the kind of rebellious drink that your taste buds need. The creamy sweetness of the sugar and the milk mixed with the zesty and daring lemon and vodka make for an extremely tantalizing drink.

The limoncello is a digest if (which is a drink that is served at the end of the meal to help with digestion) but thanks to the addition of sugar and vodka this is more like a brighter way of ending a hearty meal.

The amount of sugar and vodka that you add to it is up to you and so is the time of day that you consume it. But since there is vodka present, it would be advisable not to drink it on an empty stomach.

  4. Then combine the vodka and lemon zest infusion with the milk and stir it together. Pour the mixture through the cheesecloth to get rid of any lumps and put it in a container like bottles.

Trivia

The lemons have had quite a historical journey getting from Asia all the way to Europe. They have been thought to originate from the Assam region of India, northern Burma or China. They then were introduced to Iran and Egypt and ventured into Italy as well.

The average lifespan of the lemon tree is over 50 years, however, with proper care, it can last up to 100 years.
