Cream of vegetable soup is a tantalizing appetizer, easy to cook and ready to have in a maximum cooking time of 30 to 35 minutes.

Ingredients

Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, spinach, cauliflower, French beans): 250 g

Butter/Oil: 2 tbsp

Sifted Flour: 2 tbsp

black pepper powder: 1/4 tsp

cups milk: 3-4

cups vegetable stock: 2

celery salt: 1/2 tsp

tsp salt: 2

Thick cream for garnishing: 1/2 cup

How To Make Cream of Vegetable Soup

  • Start with heating the butter or oil.
  • Steam the vegetables in a separate pot.
  • Wait until the butter has melted to add the vegetables. Set a bowl of vegetables to be added towards the end.
  • Stir the vegetable until they roast lightly and add the flour.
  • Continue to mixing to ensure the flour does not stick to the sides of the pan.
  • Reduce the heat and add the vegetable stock. Keep stirring to avoid lumps.
  • Add black pepper and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add milk, salt, and celery salt and stir to combine
  • Add the remaining vegetables and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Serve warm in a large bowl with French bread or salad for best flavor.
