Ingredients

heaped cup sweet corn kernels – fresh or frozen: 1

garlic cloves – finely chopped: 4

fresh basil leaves – chopped: 8

cup tomatoes – finely chopped: 1/2

tsp pepper powder: 1/4

tsp mixed Italian herbs – dried: 1

tsp paprika – optional, adds taste and flavor: 1/4

tsp butter: 1-2

tbsp cheese for taste – grated: 1

tsp salt to taste: 1/4

How To Make Corn Sandwich

HOW TO MAKE CORN SANDWICH

  • Heat a teaspoon of butter in a deep-bottomed pan.
  • Add chopped garlic and sauté till they become golden brown and crunchy.
  • Add salt and corn kernels.
  • Stir while cooking for 3-4 minutes or till corn becomes soft yet crunchy.
  • Toss in pepper powder, paprika, dried mixed Italian herbs, and remaining salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and freshly chopped basil once the mixture cools and mix well.
  • Add grated cheese and stir the mixture once.
  • To two slices of bread, spread a thin layer of butter.
  • Spread the stuffing generously.
  • Grease a flat pan or griddle with some butter.
  • Place the sandwich on it and turn on the heat.
  • Toast both the sides of the sandwich while applying butter.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Cut the sandwiches diagonally into two equal pieces.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
