Corn on the Cob

Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob is classic barbecue fare. Just about no grilling session is complete without the iconic corn on the cob side dish. It’s even good outside of the barbecue realm; you can put it on your plate for just about any reason. While it is a rather simple dish to make, like all things, there’s a right way to do it and a wrong way. This recipe is the former and is the perfect entry to the world cooking the cob.

Health Benefits

Corn is one of the oldest domesticated vegetables on the planet. It is one of the things that allowed mankind to successfully transition from hunter and gatherer societies to an agricultural society. Naturally, it could not have done this if it didn’t have a lot of health benefits to offer. Corn contains vitamin A, vitamin B, and vitamin E. Eating corn helps to prevent chronic heart conditions, lower your blood pressure, and reduce neural-tube birth defects.
