Chicken Pickle

Chicken Pickle

Pickle is derived from the Dutch word ‘pekel’ which means salt water. Chicken pickle, with chicken chopped well and marinated in spices and stored for a period of time, makes a great side for rice, roti and paratha.  The dish originally a specialty from Andhra Pradesh is now consumed all over the country.

This pickle stores well. You can make a huge batch, and refrigerate for later use. An absolute comfort food, it is perfect for the days when you are not in the mood for cooking something fancy yet not ready to compromise on your dinner. All you need is steaming hot rice, and with this chicken pickle, you are all set for a delicious dinner!
