Cheese corn balls are a simple dish loved by everyone. Young or old, everyone agrees. People love this delicacy because it is both delicious and easy to make. Cheese corn balls are bite-size treats served as a great appetizer or starter. Perfect for a tea time or after school snacks. Ingredients

potatoes – peeled, boiled and mashed: 2 cups

green peas and sweet corn – boiled: 1 cup

capsicum – chopped: ¼ cup

red chilli flakes: 1 tsp

grated mozzarella cheese: ½ cup

black pepper powder: ½ tsp

Italian seasoning: 1½ tsp

(ginger-green chilli-garlic) paste: 1 tsp

Corn flour: 2 tbsp

coriander leaves--chopped: 1 tbsp

dry all-purpose flour: 2 tbsp

Oil to deep fry

salt as needed

bread crumb: ½ cup

salt

all purpose flour or maida: ¼ cup

How To Make Cheese Corn Balls

To make the Balls

  1. Add the corn-peas, mashed potatoes, chopped coriander leaves, cheese, and capsicum to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix in salt, black pepper, corn flour, ginger-green chilli-garlic paste, red chilli flakes and Italian seasoning.
    1. Stir well till you receive a pasty texture.
  3. Apply oil to your hands and make small, lemon-sized balls,and set aside.

Note: The oil prevents it from sticking to your hands.

To make Batter

  1. Mix all-purpose flour, water, and salt to create a batter. 

To make corn balls

  1. Coat each ball with dry flour and dip them in the batter.
  2. Coat each ball with breadcrumbs completely.
  3. Heat your oil and deep-fry the balls in batches. Fry until golden and use adsorbent paper to drain the excess oil.
  4. Your delicious cheese corn balls are ready to serve.
  5. Best served while hot, with ketchup or chutney.
