Ingredients

sear fish: 1

tsp of salt: 1

Red chili Powder: 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp

rice flour: 1 tsp

Corn flour: 1 tsp

ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp

cumin powder: 1/4 tsp

lemon Juice: 1 tsp

refined oil: 1 tbsp

green chilies: 1 tsp

A few curry leaves

chopped onions: 2 tsp

coriander powder: 1/4 tsp

How To Make Chapala Vepudu

  1. Start of by properly cleaning and de-scaling the fish.
  2. Once you’ve properly cleaned and de-scaled the fish, dry it properly and keep it refrigerated.
  3. Now, mix salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, rice flour, corn flour, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder and lemon juice together,
  4. Mix them well enough to form a consistent paste.
  5. Then marinate the fish in this paste.
  6. Keep marinating for around 5 minutes.
  7. Leave the marinated fish aside for 1 hour.
  8. Start heating oil in a pan.
  9. Once the oil is hot enough, deep fry the fish.
  10. Keep frying on each side until its tender enough according to your preference.
  11. Heat oil in another pan.
  12. Add some curry leaves, green chilies, and onions to this paste and keep stirring.
  13. Keep sautéing the onions until they become translucent.
  14. Add some coriander powder, red chilies, turmeric powder, lime juice and rub them thoroughly on the fish.
  15. Toss the fish until you feel the paste has properly fussed in the fish.
  16. Serve with lemon juice on top.
