Bread Masala Recipe

If you are a regular visitor to India and a foodie, you will hear the word ‘masala’ in almost everything. From curries to snacks, everything tastes better with ‘masala.’ Masala means spices or mixture of a few spices which are either prepared freshly or stored in a dried powdered form. Dishes made with bread like sandwiches are mostly plain. However, bread masala is special because it is where the west meets the east. If you have a fussy eater in your home, this recipe will perhaps change their mind.

Ingredients

5 slices – wheat bread

2 tsp – butter

1 tsp – ginger garlic paste

1 – finely chopped chili

2 tbsp – finely chopped spring onions

½ - onion finely chopped

½ - grated carrot

2 tbsp – finely chopped cabbage

2 tbsp – finely chopped capsicum

2 – finely chopped tomatoes

1 tsp – pav bhaji masala

½ tsp – salt

2 tbsp – tomato sauce

Coriander leaves, finely chopped

How To Make Bread Masala Recipe

  • In a pan heat the butter.
  • Add chili, spring onion, onion, and ginger garlic paste. Sauté it for a minute.
  • Add vegetables, tomato, and Sauté it well.
  • Add pav bhaji masala, tomato sauce and mix it well.
  • Add bread pieces and mix it gently.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Yummy masala bread is ready to serve.
