Ingredients

fresh blackberries: 2 cups

water: 1/2 cup

lime juice: 1/2

granulated sugar: 1 tsp

ice cubes: 2

How To Make Blackberry Juice

  1. Start with washing the blackberries with cold water thoroughly.
  2. Add blackberries and water in a large saucepan. Bring the water to a boil over medium-low heat.
  3. Once the water is boiled, turn the heat low and bring it to a simmer, for about three to four minutes. Make sure that the blackberries are soft by now.
  4. Add granulated sugar. Stir properly until the sugar is dissolved fully.
  5. Now mash the blackberries with a potato masher or a fork.
  6. Pour the berries and water mixture through a large wire mesh strainer into a bowl. Using the back of a spoon, squeeze out the juice. Discard the pulps and seeds.
  7. Now transfer the juice in a glass. Add in the lime juice and ice cubes.
  8. Serve the blackberry juice and enjoy!

Chef’s Note:

If fresh blackberries are not available, use 2 packages (16 ounces) of frozen blackberries instead.
