Use Juices to Achieve Glowing Skin – 9 Homemade Elixirs

Vegetables and fruit are typically filled with fiber and other vital nutrients that help your body flush out toxins which can degrade the quality of your skin and hair health. They also have a lot of antioxidants which can stop the health of free radicals which cause cancer and damage your skin cells. The best way to digest these vegetables and absorb their nutrients is by transforming them into an elixir like the ones listed below. Make these juices out of fresh vegetables, pour into an insulated tumbler and enjoy.

1. Carrot and beetroot juice

This wonderful concoction is one of the best elixirs for your skin. One of the reasons is it actually tastes really great, which isn’t necessarily common for these health juices. The most important reason however, is that it is packed with vital nutrients that your skin needs. Beetroot has zinc, folic acid, iron, manganese, and vitamin C help to purify the blood and leads to glowing skin. Carrot contains vitamin A which helps to fight wrinkles, pigmentation, and acne. Both ingredients provide fiber which helps to ease bowel movements and detoxify the body.

2. Cucumber juice

Cucumber juice helps to moisturize your skin and grants it elasticity and that glow we so highly covet. It has ascorbic acid and caffeic acid which improve your body’s ability to regulate water retention. It helps to hydrate you while avoiding the dreaded swollen and puffy look.

3. Fresh tomato juice

Freshly squeezed tomato juice is a health drink classic. It’s such a classic that a famous breakfast cocktail, the Bloody Mary, was made from it. The cocktail is supposed to revitalize you after a hard night of drinking. That’s for good reason, tomato juice has a lot of nutrients that not only help your body but help your skin.

4. Spinach juice

Green leafy vegetable juices may not taste delicious but they are extremely beneficial for your skin. Spinach juice is said to be rich in iron and vitamin K that are essential for getting a flawless skin. These greens also contain vitamin C, E and manganese that are antioxidants protecting your skin from damage causing free radicals.

5. Ginger lemon juice

Ginger is a long-standing herb that has been used to treat health for thousands of years. It is normally used for digestive health, but its niacin and potassium content help to improve the overall quality of your skin. They keep your skin hydrated which is important to achieving that glow. The lemon is mostly there for flavoring.
