Natural remedies for Whiteheads

Pollution is the main cause of most skin ailments. Whiteheads are one of the most common issues that most women face, especially on our nose and surrounding area. Our skin breathes through pores. When our skin is exposed to oil and dirt pores are blocked. So the oil starts to collect resulting in whiteheads or blackheads. These nasty growths later lead to bigger problems like pimples or acne. That’s why is it extremely important to have a regular skin care routine to avoid whiteheads from popping up on your skin. Before you think of buying any chemical-induced remedy, try the natural ingredients.

Magical remedy – Baking Soda

Baking soda is indeed magical. It used to prepare certain food like bread and cakes, and also helps to cure minor tummy ailments. Baking soda is safe, affordable skin care and without any side effects. This ingredient which is perhaps in every kitchen’s front row deserves a place in the bathroom too.

Medical remedy – Aspirin tablets

Aspirin tablets are found in every home’s first aid box. It is an over the counter medication for common cold, fever, tooth and body aches, etc. This multi-purpose pill is useful to treat whites too. You can crush these tablets and add water. Make a thick paste and apply on the whiteheads or wherever you feel it needs attention.

Mystical remedy – Turmeric

There’s a reason Turmeric is called mystical here. First, it is used for every auspicious occasion in Hindu custom as purification ingredient. It is also used in all Indian curries and is known for its anti-bacterial property. In Indian villages women apply turmeric on face and feet too. Using turmeric regularly will keep the whiteheads from forming. You can combine it with honey or water and apply the paste on your face. Allow it to dry and do it at least twice a week.
