Here are Summer Beauty Home Remedies to Try

The heat in the summer months brings with it a number of beauty problems. These problems need to be tended well. You should maintain a balanced and healthy diet and keep the body well-hydrated. The use of sunscreen lotion is essential during the summer months. You should make it a habit to apply sunscreen before you head out. If you have dry skin, you need to opt for a sunscreen which has a moisturizing effect and if the skin is oily, you should opt for oil-free lotions. Apply sunscreen after you take your bath because moist skin absorbs the lotion well. Let us see some common beauty problems and their home remedies.

Summer Beauty Problems and Home Remedies

  • Sunburn: Exposure to the sun can cause the formation of dark patches on the skin. The skin will become dry and red. This needs to be handled carefully. You should drink lots of water and apply aloe vera gel. You can also apply honey to the sunburnt skin.
  • Prickly heat: Prickly heat is caused because of blocked sweat glands. The sweat and moisture in the creases of the skin will cause rash due to friction. It is very painful and occurs in people who generally wear synthetic clothes. You should flash cold water on the affected area and ensure there’s proper air circulation. Also, leave the area uncovered and apply talcum powder. You can also apply fresh aloe vera to get relief from the burning sensation. Wear loose-fitting clothes that will allow the skin to breathe.
  • Skin-thickening: The UV rays of the sun cause aging and wrinkling of the skin. Apply cold fresh cream to prevent dryness of the skin. Allow it to remain for some time and then wash with water.
  • Black spots: Black spots can be treated by applying buttermilk. Take a cotton ball dipped in buttermilk and leave it on the skin for 10 minutes. Wash with cold water.
