4 Natural Ingredients for A Monsoon Feet-Care Regime

Monsoon season brings with it many challenges that most people are used to dealing with. But one of the factors that is sometimes overlooked are our feet. And in many ways, these are our most important assets, because they carry us through this world. Now you can learn to take care of your feet with a few natural

Lemon Exfoliation

Lemon slices are some of the best ingredients for any beauty regimen. Not only are lemons readily available all over the world, but they have several powerful effects that can help your feet. Lemon is a natural astringent and disinfectant, so it will stop bacteria from entering your cracked feet while cleaning them from dirt. Combine the lemon with honey and olive oil to make a wonderful balm that will exfoliate and restore the skin.

Yogurt for Tanning

During monsoon season your feet are exposed and they will sometimes receive a tan that doesn’t line up with the rest of your body; that can be an annoyance. Yogurt is great for reducing the intensity of your tan. Just apply it to your feet and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before washing off. Repeat until the tan begins to fade.

Coconut Oil for Cracked Heels

Cracked heels are going to happen during the monsoon season if you’re not prepared. Coconut oil is an effective moisturizing agent; if you rub the oil on your heels it will prevent the skin from cracking. Rub the oil into your heels and let it sit overnight while covering your feet with socks to maximize the effectiveness of the treatment.

Milk and Baking Soda Pedicure

If your feet have turned dry and scaly thanks to the elements, just walking may feel uncomfortable. It may be time to give yourself a homemade pedicure. Mix 3 cups of milk with 3 tablespoons of baking soda. Let your feet soak in the mixture for about 10 minutes before scrubbing them down and massaging them.
