Ingredients

tbsp sweet chili sauce: 1

tsp fresh ginger root grated : 1/2

cloves garlic crushed: 2

tbsp dark soy sauce: 1

tbsp sesame oil: 1

oz extra-firm tofu drained and diced: 8

cup snow peas trimmed: 1

small carrots grated: 2

cup red cabbage finely shredded : 1

tbsps peanuts chopped : 2

How To Make Tofu Salad

  • Mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, chili sauce, ginger, and garlic together in a small bowl.
  • Place tofu in the mixture.
    • Let marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Boil a pot of water.
  • Immerse the snow peas in the boiling water for 1-2 minutes.
    • Immerse the snow peas in a bowl of cold water.
  • Drain then set aside.
  • Toss the peas, peanuts, cabbage, and carrots with the tofu.
    • Marinade to serve.

Trivia

Tofu is a byproduct of soy milk the way cheese is a byproduct of milk.
