Ingredients

cup of full-fat whole milk: 1

cup of cream (25 to 35% low-fat dairy cream): 3/4

cup of strawberries — freshly chopped: 1

tbsp of organic unrefined cane sugar or regular sugar: 8

How To Make Strawberry Ice Cream

  • Combine milk, cream, sugar, and the chopped strawberries in a blender and blend everything until it results in a smooth
  • Pour the strawberry and milk mixture into a container and refrigerate it for a few hours. When the ice cream is fully set, let it stay at room temperature for some time until you can cut it through with a knife.
  • Break the formation into parts with a knife, getting rid of ice crystals and add the ice cream pieces once again to the blender. Whip it till the ice cream mixture is smooth, creamy, and slightly more in volume.
  • Pour back the mixture in a container and keep it in the freezer to allow the ice cream to set. When done, you can serve it plain and simple or add with some freshly chopped strawberries.

Trivia

Strawberry ice cream was introduced for the very first time in the year 1813 when it was served at the 2nd inaugural ball of the American Founding Father James Madison. Interestingly enough, each strawberry has some 200 seeds! Don’t believe us? Well, try counting for yourself!
