large sized kielbasa sausages: 4

hoagie rolls, toasted: 4

teaspoons of Worcestershire: 2

teaspoon of sugar: 1

large cabbages, finely shredded: 2

red onion (thin slices): 1/2

minced and crushed garlic clove, without skin: 1

jalapeno, minced: 1/2

kosher salt as per taste

whole coriander seeds: 1/2 tsp

apple cider vinegar: 1 cup

red onion, finely chopped: 1

crushed garlic cloves: 1

canned chipotle in adobo: 1

teaspoons of adobo sauce: 2

tablespoons of bourbon: 2

brown mustard: 1/2 cup

mustard: 1/4 cup

tablespoons of maple syrup: 2

grounded black pepper as per taste

kosher salt as per taste

How To Make Polish Boy Sandwich

First prepare the sauce

  • Toast the coriander seeds in small saucepan over moderate heat, stirring, until fragrant (it will take about 2 minutes).
  • Add the vinegar, red onion, garlic, chipotle and 
bourbon in the pan and Simmer until it is slightly reduced.
  • Pour the sauce into a bowl and allow it to cool.
  • Whisk in the adobo sauce, 
mustards, maple syrup and pepper and season with salt as per your taste.

Prepare the slaw

  • Take a bowl; add the mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and sugar. Thoroughly whisk these ingredients until a smooth paste is formed.
  • Now add the cabbage, red onion, garlic and jalapeño in the mixture, season with salt and mix with a spoon.
  • Refrigerate the slaw till the sausages get ready.

Prepare the sausages and assemble the sandwich

  • In a nonstick skillet, heat the canola oil.
  • Add the sausages and cook them over moderate heat, until they turn golden.
  • Now smear some of the mustard and barbecue sauce inside of the roll.
  • Place a cooked kielbasa sausage in each roll.
  • Top the sandwiches with slaw and French fries.
