Mike’s Homemade Pizza

Pizza speaks louder than words and Mike’s homemade pizza is the one that will make you forget about all the rest. Despite the fact that pizza is one of the world’s easiest and most well-known cuisines, it is strangely hard to be described.

Though pizza has taken numerous structures and its organization, garnishes, seasoning, strategies for preparation, and the tools used to mold it have greatly changed over the years, it has mostly always been a flatbread prepared at high temperatures.

Health Benefits

Of course, pizza cannot be counted as a healthy food. Based on the sort of toppings you have, the amount of cheddar, and the fixings used, pizza can rank anywhere from thinly nutritious to a complete diet-disaster. Indeed, even healthy pizzas have a decent measure of sodium because of the use of tomato sauce and cheddar, so if you are watching your salt intake, you ought to be conscious with the amount of these ingredients and the type of toppings you put on your pizza!

How To Make Mike’s Homemade Pizza

  1. Take a small bowl and fill with warm water. Dissolve yeast in it and let it be until creamy, roughly 10 minutes.
  2. Now take a large bowl, merge flour, salt, and shortening. Whisk in the yeast mixture. When the dough is done, place it onto a lightly floured surface and work until even and stretchy, about 8 minutes.
  3. Slightly grease a large bowl, put the dough in the bowl, and coat with oil. Cover up with a wet cloth, and set in a warm place until the volume double, around 45 minutes.
  4. Next, heat oil over medium heat in a small saucepan. Fry onion until tender. Add the tomato paste and water. Flavor with sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, basil, oregano, marjoram, cumin, chili powder and red pepper flakes. Let cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. The recipe gives 2 (12-inch) pizzas. Divide the dough into two, and place onto pizza pans.
  6. Top with sauce and preferred toppings. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until crust is golden-brown.

Trivia

In spite of the fact that pizza’s origin isn't only Italian, there is no doubt that from a social viewpoint, it is an extremely popular dish in Italy. Italians "claim" this delicacy.

The dish has turned into an American dish— a grab-on-the-run food, and it is safe to say that over time pizza has become as much a representative of American food customs and choices as it is for Italy.

Pizza reached the United States in the late nineteenth century. The first genuine American pizzeria opened in the New York City in 1905 by Gennaro Lombardi and was situated in Manhattan, at 53⅓ Spring Street.
