potatoes, medium: 2
red chili powder: 1 tsp
beetroots, large: 2
refined oil: 4 tbsp
dry mango powder: 2 tsp
garam masala powder: 1 tsp
black salt: 2 tsp
semolina: 1 cup
ginger: 2 tsp
chaat masala: 2 tsp
fennel seeds powder: 2 tsp
bread slices: 4
green chilies, chopped: 2
coriander powder: 2 tsp
How To Make Beetroot Tikki
- Add beetroot and potatoes in a pressure cooker. Pressure cook for at least 5 or 6 whistles.
- Using a toothpick, check if the potatoes are well cooked.
- Let the beetroot and potatoes cool down.
- In a medium bowl, grate beetroot and potatoes and mix well.
- Add bread slices, green chilies, and all the spices. Mix well.
- Make flat and round tikkis of the mixture and arrange them on a plate.
- Spread semolina on a plate and coat the tikkis.
- Heat oil in a frying pan,
- Place the tikkis in the pan, and shallow fry them in batches.
- Fry until it is crispy and cooked on both sides. Enjoy with tomato ketchup!
